Annet Mahendru

Mahendru is a mother of Russian origin who was born in Afghanistan. She speaks fluent German, Russian, English as well as French Persian and Hindi. Annet Mahendru has a Russian-Indian father. An improvised performance she choreographed at the age of 11 which aired on German television, turned her into an Russian dancer and snow maiden. When she graduated from high school and college in New York, she received her bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. John's University. She studied improvisation and comedy at Groundlings School after leaving HB Studio. She was created at the age of 13 in Kabul Afghanistan, to Hindu-Indian Ghanshan Kenne Mahendru (father) as well as Russian Olga (mother). The couple divorced when she turned 13 years old older and they moved from the city of her birth to East Meadow New York with her father.She is a part of Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell in The Americans on FX. The Americans. Her role on FX's The Americans as Nina Sergeevna Krilova is perhaps her most memorable television performance. She had a recurring part on Fox's The Following and NBC's The Blacklist.
